January 11th Luncheon Featuring

Greg Guice

Manager and Director of Operations

Drone Alliance Europe (DAE)

The IAC's January luncheon will be Wednesday, January 11th, at the Mayflower Hotel

Greg Guice serves as the Manager and Director of Operations for Drone Alliance Europe (DAE), a coalition of leading technology companies representing the commercial drone industry before European political leaders, regulators, and other industry stakeholders, as well as international regulatory and advisory bodies. DAE leverages the experience and perspectives of member companies throughout the policymaking process to expedite the safe and widespread integration of commercial drones into European airspace. Current members include Amazon Prime Air, Delft Aerial Robotics, Google X, Altitude Angel, Gatewing, ParaZero, Unifly, and many others.

Mr. Guice brings more than 16 years of experience in communications policy and regulatory issues to DAE from both his work on Capitol Hill and at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Immediately prior to joining Akin Gump, Mr. Guice served as the Director of Legislative Affairs at the FCC. In this role, Mr. Guice developed and implemented advocacy strategy in support of the Commission’s groundbreaking broadband policy initiatives, including incentive auctions legislation. Prior to being Director of Legislative Affairs at the FCC, Mr. Guice was counsel to the Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where he advised the Chairman and committee members on a range of communications issues, including universal service, public safety, broadband policy, privacy, cybersecurity and competition policy. Mr. Guice spent nearly 10 years prior to that at the FCC working on wireline, wireless, and public safety regulatory matters.
